Rules- The Hamilton Hex Max Lift 1 hand Handle to be griped above the pin/bolt. The weight is not allowed to touch the legs, or any other body parts apart from the hands holding it. Also the hands or forearms are not allowed to be locked or pressed against the thighs. The spare hand may not touch the leg or thigh at any time. The Hex is to be lifted to a height of 8”. There is no referee’s down signal. You must lower the weight under control (hand grasping it all the way down). The athlete may use wooden blocks to stand on if they struggle to lift to the required height, as long as they do not get in the way of the lift. Only powdered chalk allowed, no tape or sticky plasters on the hands. Hands must be shown before and after the lift. If anything is unclear in the video you will be requested to perform the lift again. The Hamilton Hex hold for time 1 hand The above Hamilton Hex rules apply; except you do not have to lift the apparatus to a certain height. Timing is started from the moment the weight is lifted off the floor, and stopped when it either drops out of the hands, or it is put down. (These may change depending on the time held. for instance is 100kg is held for longer than 45 seconds we will introduce 110kg and then 120kg if need be.
